Find a movie by description: tell us the scene, plot, or detail you remember and compare possible matches.
How to find a movie you can't name
- Start with the most distinctive clue: what happens, who is involved, and where.
- Add the language, an actor, or an approximate decade if you remember it. Say when a detail is uncertain.
- Compare the suggested plots and release years. If they don't fit, try another clue or remove a detail you may have misremembered.
For example, “a boy left at home over Christmas defends the house from burglars” describes Home Alone (1990). The holiday and the burglars make this more useful than “a movie about a boy.”
