Old movie dinosaur steps on someone and squishes them flat

After a spaceship crashes on Earth, a giant egg rolls from the wreckage. The egg quickly hatches to reveal an alien dinosaur. Due to the Earth's atmosphere, the newly hatched alien dinosaur rapidly increases in size. The dinosaur turns its attention towards a railway township, which it attacks, causing great destruction. The alien dinosaur sees a water tower, which it commences to climb. The continued affect of Earth's atmosphere on the alien dinosaur makes the creature burn, destroying it.

The dinosaurs didn't go completely extinct when the asteroids hit 65 million years ago. Today, every ten thousandth person in the country is a dinosaur, evolved to be human-sized, wearing sophisticated solid-light holographic disguises to maintain the facade, getting stoned off regular cooking herbs like basil, rosemary and tarragon, and living by their own shadow government's laws; any human who stumbles upon them is to be immediately executed. Two dino private investigators, velociraptor Vincent Rubio and triceratops Ernie Watson, are hired by one of Ernie's old girlfriends to find out why her younger brother committed suicide, and discover a dino cult called Voice Of Progress that wants dinokind to come out of the closet and reclaim the planet.

The Pit of Death is what some scientists are calling it, others "Dinosaur Pompeii". Envision dinosaur corpses stacked one on top of each other, piled four and five high. Watch as the bones are examined, reconstructed and brought back to life, using high resolution CGI, and slowly probe the mystery of who these dinosaurs were, how they died and what they can tell us about the Lost Age of the Dinosaurs.
