A decade has passed in the small town where the original Sandlot gang banded together during the summer of ’62 to play baseball and battle the Beast. Now, back at the dugout, nine new kids descend on the diamond only to discover that a descendant of the Beast lives in Mr. Mertle’s backyard – a monster of mythical proportions known as 'The Great Fear'.

During a summer of friendship and adventure, one boy becomes a part of the gang, nine boys become a team and their leader becomes a legend by confronting the terrifying mystery beyond the right field wall.

The wild beast is preparing to leave the sewers behind and its roar echoes through the rooms of the apartment building.

A formidable beast was captured by townspeople and imprisoned in a cage for all to see. Over time beast's will to escape becomes smaller and smaller as people continue to abuse it and use as a spectacle show. A young boy tries to befriend the creature by cleaning its wounds and feeding it, which results in creating an unexpected bond between them.
