Shirish and Geeta run a rickshaw driver over and have dramatically opposing reactions to the tragedy. In parallel, Geeta’s guilt drives her to surreptitiously employ Manoj, the victim’s younger brother, intertwining two lives otherwise separated by class and power. The movie deals with 2 cases. One is about the death that happens due to a row over a 2000-rupee note. Another case involves a murder due to inter-caste marriage.

The film is based on the 11 July 2006 Mumbai train bombings.
