Alberto Manzi is twenty years old and wants to be a teacher. He gets the job at a juvenile correctional facility, to then get transfered to a proper school, who he deems inadequate. At that time the public broadcasting network Rai decides to realize a program to educate millions of Italians.

17 years-old Giulio is sent by his mother to a boarding school for difficult offspring of rich families. The institution is sort of a “golden prison”, isolated in the Alps, to which inadequate parents delegate the task of educating the ruling class of the future. In this cold and ghastly place the boys are cut off from everything. Adhering to the strict rules of the boarding school is hard, but Giulio finds a good friend in Edoardo, who is maybe a little crazy, but who seems the smartest of all. They find out that security becomes more relaxed at night and they start running away to a nightclub in the middle of the woods. There they meet Elena, a young prostitute whose destiny will be unforgettably linked to theirs. The night is a space of freedom, of new and perturbing experiences for Giulio and Edoardo. But what they don’t know is that their transgressions are part of the educational program of the school.

Through the stages of a criminal trial, the sexual blackmail of a teacher against high school students is retraced. A carefully made film which contains some particularly perverse scenes. He immediately falls in love with her, and wants to help her. Stefania is thinking about any possibility to get out from the prison. She flirts with the ugly yard guard Armandos, and with the truck driver coming with foodstuff, but in vain...

In Italy in the 90s, Zena, daughter of the Pope's doctor and granddaughter of a former fascist, is admitted to a reformatory, Villa Bianca, where deviances are “cured”, the last resort for the parents of Italian good society who wish to “repair” a rebellious generation. The film deals with the true events which happened in 1949 in Italy, when then-schoolteacher Pier Paolo Pasolini was accused of soliciting three underage boys.
