Animated film where they have to stop a huge robot

In the small town of Rockwell, Maine in October 1957, a giant metal machine befriends a nine-year-old boy and ultimately finds its humanity by unselfishly saving people from their own fears and prejudices.

A documentary about how the critically acclaimed film wound up being a box office disappointment, only to become regarded as a classic over a decade after its initial release.

It has been ten years since The Battle of the Breach and the oceans are still, but restless. Aidan, an awkward fanboy, finally leaves his mother’s basement and goes to meet Sierra, a vlogger fresh off a break up who needs help filming a new video series at Comic-Con. They struggle to navigate the newly devirtualized relationship, and just as they’re starting to figure it out, disaster strikes. Further alienated and unable to cope, Aidan descends into nightmares, becoming a monstrous toy as he dawns Sierra's internet identity and forges on to Comic-Con to complete the video series.

50 years after a nuclear war, the two superpowers handle territorial disputes in a different way. Each fields a giant robot to fight one-on-one battles in official matches, each piloted by a man inside, known as robot jockeys or jox. The contest for possession of Alaska will be fought by two of the best. The conscientious Achilles fights for the Americans. Opposing him is a Russian, Alexander.
