A strange and silent village, lifeless and seemingly bereft of all apparent life. There, a determinedly mannered middle-aged carriage driver drags a lifeless body towards the cemetery.

Parolee Taylor's hopes for a fresh start are jeopardized by cellmate Dee's arrival. As Dee takes Taylor under his wing, a vicious attack tests their bond, forcing Taylor to choose between protecting Dee and his own chances at freedom.

In a post-apocalyptic landscape, an ex-soldier wanders in search of his lost home and family. Along the way, he joins a makeshift group of survivors who convince him to lead them through the wasteland. But when a band of pillaging raiders comes after them, they must fight to survive in this cruel dystopia.

Wastopia explories the issues surrounding global attitudes to waste disposal and the environment pollution that inevitably follows. The film indicates a visual journey based on an otherworldly place inhibited by strange creatures and the products of what humans discard.
