Chinese comedy about two rival restaurants

A humorous contemporary comedy about Chen, a miserly and scheming restaurant owner and his employee Zhong who compete to win a girl's attention.

Two family owned restaurants of conflicting styles open up shop across the street from one another.

Leung Sing-por and Liu Enjia reunite with director Wong Tin-lam as they carry their inter-cultural feud to the dining table in this foodie comedy. This time, the two plump stars play owners of competing restaurants—Cantonese cuisine in one and Northern cuisine in the other, of course—whose rivalry heats up when their respective children decide to get married. While the script by Eileen Chang cleverly uses the two regions' foods to bring out clash of cultures, the film's title already says that it is ultimately a heartwarming film about two decent men who must put petty arguments aside for their children's happiness.

Based upon an urban legend of 2 rivalling bak kwa shops, "Hao Han Bak Kwa" and "Mei Mei Bak Kwa". The founders of these two stores however, Zeng Mei Mei (Irene Ang) and Chen Hao (Ha Yu), used to be lovers, yet, turned against each other for their own personal, selfish reasons. While the two engage in a battle to win a bak kwa competition, their children get engulfed in a complex relationship with one another... And there begins the story of the bak kwa war!

Comedy has the proprietors of a tonkatsu (deep-fried pork) restaurant match wits with a Chinese developer.

Man’s Noodles is passed down to Man Shui, Man Nin and Man Sai. They have learned the craft from their father and opened their own noodle shops, resulting in destructive competition. Lung Kau, Fok Siu-yuk and Kam Chi are their wives. They often quarrel as they earnestly defend their husbands. The siblings’ mother Madam Man Ji Chin-hung hasn't intervened in the feud between her sons as she is faced with a dilemma. Just before CNY’s Eve, Chin-hung dreams of her late husband. He brings up the sibling rivalry and tells Chin-hung to restore things to order. Chin-hung then uses the legend of the Mans’ Golden Bowl, which was bestowed by the Emperor, as an excuse for luring her three sons into temporarily staying at their old home from first to seventh of January. Chin-hung pretends to observe her sons and their family members’ behavior which she uses as a basis for deciding who is the Golden Bowl winner. She hopes to unite everybody through participation in traditional CNY activities.

As A-Bang-Goong becomes a local and nationwide phenomenon,, WANG, the owner of Chung-Wha-Roo becomes desperate. WANG visits his rival's to taste the famous dishes. However, he falls faint after discovering a human finger in his food.
