An angel appears above a gray, large-panel housing estate. He is noticed by a violinist and a party dignitary. For the musician, the angel is a source of inspiration; for the man of power - a pretext for a cynical political game. From the very beginning, the artist used a combined technique, manipulating shots and graphics. The angel and the masked man with a sack on his back appear in other films created by Serafinski. The angelic ideal is tainted by the society and politics, the masked thief passes by unnoticed. The exchange of elites and masking the cynicism of the government with ostentatious religiosity turned out to be a self-fulfilling prophecy.

A man constructs wooden wings enabling him to fly, but he is bounded by the giant wire cage encircling both the fliers and non-fliers.

An animated parable directed by Leonard Pulchny was made in a combined technique. Pulchny uses collages, engravings, drawings and he contrasts green and red colour. The style and theme of the film refers to Jan Lenica’s "Maze". According to Erich Fromm’s "Escape from Freedom", the protagonist asks to cut off his wings because he notices the emotions he evokes in society. The film is a metaphor of the political situation in the Polish People’s Republic in 1960.

The film follows what happens when a good man does a bad thing for a good reason. He tries to right a wrong by freeing two young lovers but instead forever entraps them to their mortal coils. In the end their collective love for each other will give an almost perfect stranger the wings to fly.
