Girl gives up baby tries to steal another. 1950s movie

The story about a baby swap in 1945.

A former prostitute kidnaps a baby boy at birth to satisfy her drug-dealing husband, who has told her that he is going to divorce her and put her out on the streets if she cannot produce him a son. Obviously the real mother becomes emotionally wrought and determined to get her baby back. Barbara Mandrell gets thrown into all of this mess as the mother's mother, who just happens to be beset with heart problems.

Two not so bright small time crooks end up with a baby girl by "accident" and find a change in their lives. Billy (Ulrich) becomes the guy to take care of the child and look after it. Buford (Oldman) wants to get rid of it, but the others they knit with are for doing the best they can. They conspire to rob a pawn shop to get the necessary money, only to end up heroes for stopping a heist already in play.

An intensely unhappy woman hatches a plot to switch the babies of a poor family and a rich family. But the nurse hired to pull off this transfer refuses to go through with it, leaving each baby with its proper family. When the babies are grown, the man from the poor family (who has been led to believe that he did come from the rich family) goes to the house of the other and throws him out. The remainder of the film deals with the frustrations of mistaken identity.

In a 1973 hospital nursery, a new mother has second thoughts about a done-deal adoption, while a strange woman tries to convince her to take the baby and run.

The pair are elegant down-and-outs in a park where a mother and her baby are having a picnic. Their dog steals the picnic basket for them but when the woman complains to the policeman on duty, they have to hide their booty. Unfortunately the dog keeps giving the game away.

A drug deal goes wrong when instead of cocaine the dealers find out they have a baby, and one of them refuses to give it back.

When a surrogate grows too fond of the baby she carried for a young couple, they try to disengage from her. But the surrogate starts poisoning the mother (with no danger to the child) in a scam that will keep the surrogate around, and then, when mom is gone, the surrogate will get the child, the husband and the suburban life she so earnestly covets.

When Alice loses her baby in an act of violence, she learns she cannot have children on her own. She and her husband are overjoyed when they find a surrogate to give them the baby they've always wanted. But Alice's happiness soon turns to jealousy and a deadly rage, causing her to stop at nothing to get her baby.

A psychotic stalker gives a pregnant woman a labor-inducing drug, then kidnaps her newborn.
