As a mother enters a store, she leaves her child outside in a carriage. Another woman standing nearby quickly snatches the child out of the carriage. Soon afterwards, another mother is playing with two children in the park, and when she leaves one of them unattended, her child is also seized by the same woman. These are only two of a number of children that an unscrupulous couple has captured for their own purposes.

Unable to have kids, Nick an ex-con and Maryann a hard core christian, resort to the extreme to become parents. They kidnap a woman going in for an abortion and force her to have her baby for them.

Caretakers for a kidnapped child, couple Rod ad Lucy decide to run away with the child to be raised as their own rather than let it be killed after its parents turned to the cops for help. Not equipped with any employable skills, they resort to scams and other illicit activities just to ensure that their child would live a normal life.
