Bob Parr has given up his superhero days to log in time as an insurance adjuster and raise his three children with his formerly heroic wife in suburbia. But when he receives a mysterious assignment, it's time to get back into costume.

Every kid wants superpowers. But not every kid's father is Omni-Man, the greatest superhero the world has ever known.

Something strange and frightening is happening in a small friendly family. The boy notices how Dad sometimes becomes transparent, and sometimes just disappears. The child tries to explain dad's behavior in his own way, but then begins to get used to it. And mom has an "adult" explanation of what is happening.

However, the wicked Striker schemes to ruin their plans, ultimately seeking to replace Dad'X and reclaim the toy factory he was kicked out of.
