I don't like myself when i'm with you

On Halloween night an evil waffle maker transforms all the food in a sleazy diner into killer creatures out for revenge against the patrons.

Liu Hui is a widower whose son lives in America. She insists on living alone in the house she shared with her late husband, a calligrapher, and is surrounded by fond memories. As she gradually joins community activities, she strikes up an acquaintance with the kind and shy building caretaker who faces a quandary over a stray cat. Small moments together reveal loneliness and companionship.

Cal Weaver is living the American dream. He has a good job, a beautiful house, great children and a beautiful wife, named Emily. Cal's seemingly perfect life unravels, however, when he learns that Emily has been unfaithful and wants a divorce. Over 40 and suddenly single, Cal is adrift in the fickle world of dating. Enter, Jacob Palmer, a self-styled player who takes Cal under his wing and teaches him how to be a hit with the ladies.

One is a bum, one gets by selling self-help DVDs: Mei Yuan Gui is a guy who survives by leeching off his girlfriends; Ye Xiao Chun is a girl who sells DVDs for a living. Two people in the bottom rungs of society meet by accident one day when the guy saves the girl, and so begins the most hilarious, silly and touching love story.

In this romantic comedy, a 35-year-old New Yorker (Joseph Lyle Taylor, "Summer of Sam") has more experience getting out of relationships than staying in them. Features cameos by Regis Philbin ("Little Nicky") and actor-director Edward Burns ("Saving Private Ryan").
