35mm negative film stock was buried under leaves near the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station. The abstract flurry of activity on the surface of the filmstrip translates the energies of the radioactive site. Disordered marks and traces, representing the imprint of time between sunset and sunrise on the night of June 24th 2014, blend into the green and blue tones of the light-exposed emulsion.

Following a plane crash a group of schoolboys find themselves on a deserted island. They appoint a leader and attempt to create an organized society for the sake of their survival. Democracy and order soon begin to crumble when a breakaway faction regresses to savagery with horrifying consequences.

When their plane crashes, 25 schoolboys find themselves trapped on a tropical island, miles from civilization.

From a riddle-speaking butterfly, a unicorn learns that she is supposedly the last of her kind, all the others having been herded away by the Red Bull. The unicorn sets out to discover the truth behind the butterfly's words. She is eventually joined on her quest by Schmendrick, a second-rate magician, and Molly Grue, a now middle-aged woman who dreamed all her life of seeing a unicorn. Their journey leads them far from home, all the way to the castle of King Haggard.

The film is a contemporary piece and seeks to explore the relationship between grandfather and grandson. Initially set in a set idyllic English garden, the grandfather notices a unicorn drawing by the child, which, in turn, rekindles memories of a long forgotten past. Seeking an affinity his grandson, the grandfather revisits this fabled world, but fate has other plans which demonstrates that human life and mythical entities have an ethereal beauty.

The weather was beautiful. Princess was awful. At two o'clock in the afternoon princess get lost in the woods. Or maybe it was the other way around?
