Adventures of the Road-Runner
Adventures of the Road-Runner is an animated film, directed by Chuck Jones and co-directed by Maurice Noble and Tom Ray. It was the intended pilot for a TV series starring Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner, but was never picked up until four years later when Warner Bros. Television produced The Road Runner Show for CBS from 1966 to 1968 and later on ABC from 1971 to 1973. As a result, it was split into three further shorts. The first one was To Beep or Not to Beep (1963). The other two were assembled by DePatie-Freleng Enterprises in 1965 after they took over the Looney Tunes series. The split-up shorts were titled Road Runner a Go-Go and Zip Zip Hooray!.

The Underground Movie
Everyone has wondered what it would be like to dig right through to the other side of the Earth. This animated film takes the wonder a step further. Here the probe is accomplished with a machine as ingenious as any that have reached the moon. Dubbed 'Old Chucknose' and equipped with amazing gadgetry, it bores through every layer of the Earth's crust and centre. Perhaps it's not a blueprint of things to come, but it's plausible enough as observed in this cartoon.

Tunnel
Call it a political film, even though a tunnel could be anywhere. In desperate Gaza -not a country but a strip- people dig tunnels because the borders are too well-guarded. Not even a sheep may cross the border. So a shepherd who has run out of ideas takes his sheep along with him into the tunnel. Desperate, absurd and yet comic. Sombre and monochrome. Animation as if modelled with soil.
