The Moon Bird is a dark fairytale about an orphan girl called Teardrop who inherits magical powers from her late parents. A terrible sorceress Experimentia desires the magic for herself and pursues Teardrop for her own evil ends. Teardrop must outwit the sorceress with the help of a magical bird created after one of her tears binds with the moon.

In an unknown place a young boy dreams of a better place for him and his mother, but everything changes once a stranger arrives.

In a thick forest full of giant trees, a boy lives modestly with his family. One day, a guardian of the moon looking like a squirrel shows up in front of the boy, saying the moon got accidentally stuck on a high tree somewhere far East. Night dominates the world as the sky stops moving with the still moon. Now, the boy and the squirrel go off on adventures into the dark forest to search and free the moon.

A child plays with flowers, butterflies and birds. Suddenly a huge man dressed in black appears. He begins to teach the child a lesson about plant and animal species. The teacher has many hands, each holding a pointer and killing all the beautiful species he talks about.
