Desert area old motel, doors lead to different places

An unsuspecting family on a road trip stumbles into a motel on a seedy stretch on historic Route 66. From the outside this looks like any other budget motel, but as the doors slowly open they uncover a world of sin, addiction, pain, longing and desperation from which there is little chance of escape.

Haz, lost in a desert dreamscape, stumbles upon a mysterious oasis—a hotel hidden in the dunes. A glass of enigmatic milk becomes his ticket to a whirlwind global adventure, where familiar faces greet him. But is this all a dream or Haz's motel hell? Haz rides mind-bending barrels in Ireland, Morocco, Indonesia, and remote Australia.

A number of lost souls find refuge in a small motel in the middle of nowhere, its only distinguishing characteristic being the ruins of an old Mystery Spot - a long-dead roadside attraction with strange metaphysical powers. Everyone at the Mystery Spot will be affected by its unique properties, but only some will survive its reality-shattering implications.

Documentary looking at the culture of three motels and their owners who remain untouched by homogenization and corporatism, located in Santa Fe, New Mexico; Florence, Arizona; and the semi-ghost town of Death Valley Junction, California. Everyone has an unusual story to tell.
