A lonely cow weeps at dawn 2003

Two lost souls visiting Tokyo -- the young, neglected wife of a photographer and a washed-up movie star shooting a TV commercial -- find an odd solace and pensive freedom to be real in each other's company, away from their lives in America.

Filmed at The Lincoln Theatre in Washington, D.C., "Trevor Noah: Lost in Translation" brings Noah's unique world-view and global analysis of American culture to the forefront. In the special, Noah addresses major domestic and international events of the past year, sharing his outlook on the world today, including terrorism, racial tensions in America and what it was like being African and travelling into the United States during the EBOLA crisis.

A beauty-filled look at cows on a peaceful day in the pasture. Natural sounds, without narration. A little girl lolls in the meadow, watching cows sniff the grass, jaws grinding, tails swishing. Colors and shapes of bodies, textures of noses and hides. A new-born calf, licked clean by its mother, tries to stand on collapsible legs and searches out its first meal. “The essence of cowness is fixed forever in the mind and heart of the viewer” (Los Angeles Times).

At night, the cow dreams of flying between the clouds. But when she wakes up her spots are gone. Will she find them again?

In a dry, barren landscape, a herd of cattle is grazing, accompanied by dogs, looked after by cowboys. Step by step the seemingly peaceful place starts to prove fallacious to the viewer - while the cows end their day as it begun.

Alone in her apartment, Liv is counting the days until she is reunited with the woman she loves. Accompanied by her audio-tapes, she thinks back on her relationship as the solitude slowly begins to test her mental strength.

"Edna" (a cow) stands in the middle of a field waiting impatiently to be milked. But it forgot to moo at the right moment. Filming is cut and the director goes berserk

An old villager deeply in love with his cow goes to the capital for a while. While he's there, the cow dies and now the villagers are afraid of his possible reaction to it when he returns.

An imaginative and playful collage of images from the life of cows. A mosaic of small stories from around the world, in which cows experience both positive and negative moments, depicts the life of an animal in a global world and its relationship with man. Visually colorful images depict the cow as a sensitive creature worthy of admiration. The film gives hope for a better world with its stylized poetics, playfulness and humor.
