At New York's High School of Performing Arts, students from all walks of life get the chance to hone their skills as singers, actors, dancers, and more. Over four years, these young men and women will see if they truly have the dedication and talent to achieve success, while still juggling regular schoolwork, feelings of self-doubt, and budding romances.

Alex Owens, a young woman juggling between two odd jobs, aspires to become a successful ballet dancer. Nick, who is her boss and lover, supports and encourages her to fulfil her dream.

A horsewoman is riding on an abandoned square. Through the simultaneous filming with 32 digital cameras, the movements of the horse create a surreal impression and are placed out of time.

A half-horse, half-man pursues a young woman who turns herself into the same figure. Using a spare animation style, Straiton deals with a mythological subject that reveals his personal sense of humour. A beautiful film, set to original music, that is stunning in its simplicity.

Similar to the work of Martin Arnold, this outré and charged video-work employs footage from a Stroheim vehicle with film of a woman sexually straddling a mechanized pommel horse to suit its own message.
