When a kingpin threatens New York City, a group of mutated turtle warriors must emerge from the shadows to protect their home.

The four turtles travel back in time to the days of the legendary and deadly samurai in ancient Japan, where they train to perfect the art of becoming one. The turtles also assist a small village in an uprising.

This "sci-fi" documentary alternates archive footage with new material that the students in part filmed themselves, and Dr. Leary's charisma still seems to have a hold on contemporary youth.
