There is a plant that grows and has teeth and can talk

Seymour Krelborn is a nerdy orphan working at Mushnik's; a flower shop in urban Skid Row. He harbors a crush on fellow co-worker, Audrey Fulquard, and is berated by Mr. Mushnik daily. One day, Seymour finds a very mysterious unidentified plant which he calls Audrey II. The plant seems to have a craving for blood and soon begins to sing for his supper.

Seymour works in a skid row florist shop and is in love with his beautiful co-worker, Audrey. He creates a new plant that not only talks but cannot survive without human flesh and blood.

Humans demonstrate and passionately argue that plants have as much by way of brainpower as they do beauty. And what if they were actually communicating with us? And if they were, what do they have to tell us?

For a whole summer, 17-year-old Florencia has to look after her brother, who is trapped in a persistent vegetative state. From time to time she reads to him from a comic about plant souls that take control of human bodies at full moon.
