An extremely patient man shares a sleeping car on a overnight express train with a complete hypochondriac. Anxious for his berth mate to reveal any habits which might disturb his delicate sleep, the neurotic man subjects the other to an absurd interrogation.

On a late-night train, a blind beggar asks for alms. The eight passengers in the carriage all avert their gaze, each preoccupied with their own concerns. But when the beggar drops behind him a crumpled fifty-dollar note, eyes start to falter. Tension breaks out into a brawl just as the train announces its arrival at the next station.
