Movie with knights and a creature that befriends the main character

An epic adventure movie which will be set in the Middle Ages.

A medieval alchemist (Klaus Kinski), knight (Harvey Keitel) and priest (Fernando Rey) mistake a flying-saucer alien for a dragon.

A knight braves various dangers in order to rescue a damsel in distress.

The movie begins in Southern England in the Middle Ages and then six knights are seen riding in horses towards a destroyed town. They see the remains of burned buildings and dead people until they come upon a mother and her dead baby. She quickly dies and then a rhino-sized dragon flies overhead, the knights follow right behind, vowing to kill the creature.

Casper visits King Arthur's castle and scares the knights out of their armor. He tries to help a cowardly knight get courage, thus assisting him in saving the princess from an evil dragon.

In medieval times, a young boy befriends a dragon.
