Old lady defending her home from being developed into a golf course

The young Harold lives in his own world of suicide-attempts and funeral visits to avoid the misery of his current family and home environment. Harold meets an 80-year-old woman named Maude who also lives in her own world yet one in which she is having the time of her life. When the two opposites meet they realize that their differences don’t matter and they become best friends and love each other.

A gun toting 83-year old woman refuses to sell her house to the power plant next door but the plant has moved ahead their 20 million dollar deal to buy out most of Cheshire and bulldoze all the homes.

Experimental film about the legal action taken by a woman whose house is threatened by a new city development project. Her ideas of home, community and utopia are examined alongside those of the developer. The film explores the use of language and rhetoric, as well as competing visions of progress and development.
