A sheriff investigating the disappearance of a young girl from a small island discovers there's a larger mystery to solve among the island's secretive, neo-pagan community.

Police sergeant Neil Howie is called to an island village in search of a missing girl whom the locals claim never existed. Stranger still, however, are the rituals that take place there.

A village zamindaar trying to have kids for many years, putting all blames on his wife and looking for 2nd marriage. But his wife started roaming at night in village for doing sex with any stranger to get pregnant and leads this illicit relationship

The story revolves around two best friends, young fishermen Makame and Saidi. Saidi is the area playboy and an artist. Makame loves his wife and is faithfully married. But his mother dislikes Maryam and makes her life miserable because she has not become pregnant. In desperation and hoping to conceive, Maryam sleeps with Saidi. When she becomes pregnant her marriage is saved and her mother-in-law is happy. But there’s a catch that may prove disastrous for all.

With few other real options, when the young village woman in this story is offered an arranged marriage with a kindly but mildly retarded shopkeeper who lives in a nearby town, she readily accepts. Once she has settled into her new home, she becomes involved with her new husband’s patron, a man involved in some underworld trading activities.

“A Childless Village” is a small rural village, where no children have been born for a while and all the men assume that it is the fault of the women. Two decades ago, old filmmaker Kazem came to this remote rural village to make a documentary about the sterility of the village women. But the village women wanted to protect their dignity, so they stole and burnt the footage. By today the villagers have found out that the men are barren and there is nothing wrong with the women. With the help of his assistant, Kazem tries to record some interviews with the infertile men to unfold the truth in a new movie, but this turns out in many ways to be a Mission: Impossible.

In 1949, a small Chinese fishing village populated almost entirely by women awaits the establishment of a government by the newly victorious communist regime. In addition to other worries, the villagers wonder how the government will react to their traditional customs, which decree that wives may only see their husbands three times a year, and the circumstances under which they are permitted to become pregant are very limited. In addition, those who are caught violating these rules are drowned.
