Thirty years ago, aliens arrive on Earth. Not to conquer or give aid, but to find refuge from their dying planet. Separated from humans in a South African area called District 9, the aliens are managed by Multi-National United, which is unconcerned with the aliens' welfare but will do anything to master their advanced technology. When a company field agent contracts a mysterious virus that begins to alter his DNA, there is only one place he can hide: District 9.

The 25th planet of the Cyrus Solar System, Vega is in danger, the 800yrs old Queen Mother is dying, afflicted by a disease we know as brain cancer. She has but a short time to live unless the part affected can be replaced. A select group of Aliens have been sent to earth to capture and bring back the part Affected-Medulla to be replaced and transplanted to the Queen Mother. It has taken them 4,5 light years to get here, now they have finally arrived.

After an alien spaceship crash-lands in the middle of the desert, the town starts to fall victim to a parasite that is spreading faster than it can be contained, turning the residents into deadly killing machines. Soon the town must fight back and face something out of this world before it.

Humans have lost earth to an alien virus, and a research and rescue team is sent down from the moon to deliver a cure to save the human race. On their way to delivering the cure, they must fight off a host of mutated animals and humans.
