An African boy struggling with inner conflict finds himself in an unlikely friendship with a Xhosa girl. He goes dancing with her and thus escapes the expectations of his culture and family. The boy's biased father does not approve of their friendship. The boy is faced with a heart dilemma: either he must end a true friendship or retain his parents' approval.
