An optimistic conservationist teams up with a jaded record holder to tell the story of the Verde River in Arizona, one of the state's last free flowing rivers. Over the course of six months, the duo paddled the entirety of the Verde in an attempt to capture its beauty, its threats and challenges, as well as what is being done to save it.
