A man with learning disabilities lives a sheltered life under the care of his sister. Following a heated emotional confrontation and an argument within their home, he impulsively runs out into the street where he is struck by a vehicle. The incident leaves him in a deep coma, forcing his sister to grapple with guilt and the medical realities of his condition.

Sam, a neurodivergent man, has a daughter with a homeless woman who abandons them when they leave the hospital, leaving Sam to raise Lucy on his own. But as Lucy grows up, Sam's limitations as a parent start to become a problem and the authorities take her away. Sam convinces high-priced lawyer Rita to take his case pro bono and in turn teaches her the value of love and family.

Having grown up on a famr in Kenya, Samuel dreams of another life, one that would take him far away from his village where people give too much importance to tradition. The young man moves to Nairobi where he finds a community of queer men. It is there that he meets Alex, who he falls in love with. But coming out to his family is far from easy, particularly given the Kenyan Law which continues to criminalise homosexual relationships.

After a car accident, the parents died in the family. The younger brother miraculously survived and is now confined to a wheelchair. The elder feels guilty, but to no avail. He does not want to put up with the fact that the younger brother will remain disabled. He decides to help him in an unusual way. The elder brother steals the car from his grandfather, and leaves with his brother to the river.

As a family of four drive home one late spring evening, a tragic accident occurs severely injuring all occupants of the car with the exception of Cas, a 17 year old teenager. He watches his mother and father die. With his sister severely injured and now in a coma, Cas is left alone in this world. Placed in the care of his aunt and uncle, Cas slowly begins to sink into a deep depression, fighting against himself as he tries to find a new place in a world which doesn't understand or know how to love him.

A tragic motorcycle accident leaves one brother paralyzed while the other brother is left guilt-ridden.
