Mia, an aspiring actress, serves lattes to movie stars in between auditions and Sebastian, a jazz musician, scrapes by playing cocktail party gigs in dingy bars, but as success mounts they are faced with decisions that begin to fray the fragile fabric of their love affair, and the dreams they worked so hard to maintain in each other threaten to rip them apart.

Short film consisting of 2 reels filmed in front of a painted backdrop. It tells an anecdote by portraying the activity of everyday characters (the lamplighter, a policeman, the shoeshine boy, children playing balls) and staging a gag : the collision between a cyclist and a pedestrian.

An amateur cameraman cruises the streets examining characters and recording his secretly observed moments along the way. He begins influencing and shifting reality, bringing us on a journey through his memories and fantasies.

A film director confides in his interlocutor. He talks about the working process, about creative blocks, about artistic crises and expressive forces. At some point, the idea takes hold that this conversation could be turned into a film. And this is the very film we’re watching the two of them in.

The artist records everyday activities in the streets and alleys around the Main and Hasting Street intersection. On the right, the view is from a fixed camera positioned on top of a dashboard in a moving car. On the left, he walks with a handheld camera with a wide angle lens. Along the way he encounters a street artist, engages with two women in Pigeon Park, crack users, dealers and homeless people.
